About This Tour

During Galungan and Kuningan, Balinese Hindus celebrate the victory of good over evil. Key activities include:

UBUD - SPIRITUAL WALK - GALUNGAN PREPARATIONS - COOKING CLASS
Start the day with a visit to Tirta Empul Temple to experience a traditional Balinese purification ritual know as Melukat.
The spring water of Tirta Empul is believed to have magical power by the Balinese to purify from sins, to give youth, and to heal diseases.
Continue with a soft trekking tour through the Tegallalang rice terraces and organic farms. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, doing cooking class on a culinary adventure that unlocks the secrets of authentic Balinese cooking, utilizing traditional ingredients and preparation methods, in a fully equipped community village kitchen. Travel to the Ubud markets with the chef as you buy fresh herbs and spices, crisp vegetables, and choice cuts of meat. Explore cooking techniques and the fascinating kitchen myths of Balinese cuisine, and learn about the exotic herbs and spices used in ceremonial and everyday Balinese dishes. After preparing the meal for dinner, celebrate with local rice wine.

COASTAL TEMPLE TRAIL – TIRTA GANGGA - LEMPUYANG TEMPLE - GATE OF HEAVEN
Request breakfast boxes from the hotel.
Start your day early at 05.00 AM, and transfer to Lempuyang Temple via shuttle bus.
Visit the iconic Gate of Heaven with a backdrop of Mount Agung. Photo opportunities may require 2–3 hours of queue time depending on the day, but is well worth the wait. Optional Traditional Balinese dress is recommended and can be arranged for that perfect photo.
Continue to the elegant Tirta Gangga Water Palace. The exotic pools and fountains were designed by 6 princes of the Royal Family of Karangasem.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
